If you’re someone juggling multiple numbers, upgrading phones reasonably often, and living mostly within solid urban coverage, the switch is genuinely worth the one slightly annoying afternoon at a service center. If you travel to areas with patchy coverage regularly, or you’re not planning to upgrade your phone anytime soon and it doesn’t support eSIM anyway, there’s genuinely no rush, and the physical SIM in your phone right now is doing its job just fine without needing to chase a trend that, at least in my own experience here, still has some real rough edges underneath the polished pitch.
